Freshman Case Comp
Delegates from Design Team won 3rd place in a 1-day engineering competition to improve Austin. The Freshman Case Competition is an opportunity for first-year engineering students to gain experience with case competitions and be introduced to the field of consulting. In the last two years, nearly 40 teams of 3-4 first-year engineers participated, learned to successfully develop a case, and presented their solution to a panel of judges.
Make-A-Thon
Delegates from Design Team won 2nd place in UT's annual Makeathon. Makeathon is a yearly weekend competition hosted by the Student Engineering Council at The University of Texas at Austin. Teams of four to five students must compete to create and pitch to a panel of judges their creative engineering solutions that respond to relevant challenges in today's society.
APICS
Our team analyzed data regarding the manufacturing, supply chain, and operations of a large company to accurately recommend improvements and potential solutions that they can implement based on numerical data alone.
Longhorn Halloween
Our group created a mini haunted house with a mini Rube Goldberg machine to help inspire STEM learning in kids while passing out sweet treats!
Disney Imagineering
Our team created a mock-up of an imaginative auditorium space based on the city of Austin utilizing engineering principles and a bit of magic!
